Adblue (tradename) - used in SCR (see 'S') engines to reduce nitrus oxides from vehicle exhaust emissions - available in bulk or containers

Cage Tipper - Tipping vehicle with mesh body usually fitted to 3.5 to 7.5 tonne chassis, extensively used by local authorities for a wide range of duties - 7.5 tonne available on spot hire - contract hire available to customer specifications

Demount system - a swap body system suitable for a wide range of applications, such as building construction, road repair service, transport, waste recycling, communal service, agricultural works etc.

Dennis Eagle - Manufacturer of Low entry chassis to 32 tonne, Refuse collection, Split Refuse collection, Recycling bodies and Trade bin lifters

DAF - Vehicle manufacturer from 7.5 tonne to 44 tonne chassis.

Ejection Trailer - Extensively used by waste management companies for hauling waste from transfer stations to tips in conjunctions with 6x4 tractor units. Unloading is facilitated by a large ram powered ejection plate without the need for tipping.

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation - is a means of reducing NOx emissions by recirculating a proportion of the vehicle emissions back into the engine with incoming air.

NO_x is a generic term for mono-nitrogen oxides (NO and NO₂). These oxides are produced during combustion, especially combustion at high temperatures.

RCV - Refuse Collection Vehicle, also know as refuse compaction vehicle - available on spot hire 12 to 26 tonnes with Trade or Domestic lifters - available on contract to customer specifications

SCR - Selective Catalytic Reduction - a means of reducing exhaust NOx emissions to meet current European standards.

Skip Loader - General purpose vehicle, typically used for delivering "Skips" to be filled and collected at a later time.

Toploader - Trade waste recycling vehicle, extensively used by Glass recycling companies - typically 23 tonne 6x2 with 2 to 3 compartments for recyclable segregation - available on spot hire - or contract hire to customer specification

Tractor unit - Most commonly used by the commercial sector in 4x2 or 6x2 guise up to 44 tonne - available on spot hire - or contract hire to customer specification.

Volvo - Vehicle manufacturer from 18 tonne to 44 tonne chassis.

Walking Floor trailer - Hydraulically powered moving floor for moving material or palletised products. The vehicle can quickly unload without the need for tipping, and can be loaded in commercial applications without a forklift entering the vehicle. Riverside operates a large fleet of such vehicles on contract hire.
